Ms. Mercante previously worked in New York City for the Quantum Fund (George Soros and Paul Reichmann fund) in acquisitions and asset management.  Ms. Mercante also worked at AIG Real Estate Investment Corp. in their asset management division managing multi-family, office and retail properties with a portfolio of 15 assets.  After leaving AIG, Ms. Mercante worked as an investment sales broker in Manhattan and won the "Most Ingenious Deal of the Year" award from REBNY in 2001.  After a successful sales career, Ms. Mercante moved into real estate consulting with Gemini Realty Advisors.
